Postpartum Doula
Bringing a new baby into the world is a beautiful and life-changing experience — but it can also be exhausting and overwhelming.
As a Certified Postpartum Doula (PPD), my role is to gently guide you through those first precious days and weeks after birth, offering emotional support, practical help, and reassurance during your recovery to adjust to life with your newborn.
When to Choose Postpartum Doula Support
Postpartum doula care is ideal for the first one to two weeks after birth, especially if:
- You’re recovering from labor or a C-section and need extra help at home
- You’d like guidance with feeding (breast/chest or bottle)
- You want someone to care for you while you care for your baby
- You value having emotional and physical support from an experienced professional
Families who already rely on relatives or friends for support often choose postpartum doula services to ensure they also have specialized, knowledgeable care focused on both the baby and the parents’ well-being.
The customized support I offer you:
My care is personalized to your needs and may include:
- Gentle recovery support for the birthing parent
- Baby latching guidance — helping your newborn find a proper, comfortable latch to encourage effective feeding and reduce discomfort for the parent
- Feeding guidance and troubleshooting (breast/chest or bottle)
- Newborn soothing and care techniques
- Light household help, such as laundry or simple meal prep
- Creating a calm, supportive home environment
- Answering questions and providing reassurance during the adjustment period
A Focus on Your Recovery and Well-Being
While my work includes newborn care, the heart of my postpartum doula role is supporting you as parents — helping you rest, recover, and feel confident in your new role.
By the time our sessions come to an end, my goal is for you to feel rested, capable, and ready to continue your journey with joy and confidence.
